Cookie Policy

Last updated 26 July 2026

1. What this policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar browser storage MockPlaces uses on mockplaces.com, and why. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

2. Essential cookies (always on)

MockPlaces currently sets only the cookies strictly necessary to sign you in and keep an exam session working. These cannot be switched off, since the site cannot function without them:

  • Session cookie (NextAuth) — keeps you signed in across page loads, and identifies which account is taking or managing an exam.

3. Analytics and marketing cookies

MockPlaces does not currently use analytics or marketing cookies, and no third-party tracking or advertising scripts run on this site. If that changes in the future, we will update this page and our cookie notice banner before any such cookie is set.

4. Local browser storage

Beyond cookies, your browser stores a small acknowledgment flag for the cookie notice banner itself (so it doesn't reappear on every page), and the Test Center may briefly use in-browser storage during an exam to keep your progress safe against an accidental refresh. None of this is used for tracking or shared with third parties.

5. Managing cookies in your browser

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies from their settings. Because MockPlaces only sets the essential session cookie described above, blocking it will sign you out and may prevent the Test Center from working correctly.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as MockPlaces evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
