CompTIA

The CompTIA A+ Core 2 (220-1202) practice examination is designed to assess candidates' ability to install, configure, and maintain operating systems, apply basic cybersecurity methods to mitigate threats, and properly diagnose, resolve, and document common software issues using appropriate operational procedures. Core 2 is one of two exams (alongside Core 1) required to earn the full CompTIA A+ certification.

The examination covers important areas such as Operating Systems, Security, Software Troubleshooting, and Operational Procedures.

Candidates are expected to demonstrate accurate recall of Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile OS terminology and tools, sound judgement in applying security best practices and diagnosing software issues, and a working understanding of safety, documentation, and professional operational procedures.

This is an original practice examination developed for learning, revision, preparation, and self-assessment purposes. It is not an official CompTIA examination paper unless explicitly authorised by the exam owner, and it does not reproduce official CompTIA exam questions.
