WAEC 2026 SSCE English Language Practice Examination

The WAEC 2026 SSCE English Language Practice Examination is designed to help Senior Secondary School candidates prepare for the English Language component of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination.

The examination assesses candidates’ understanding and use of English in areas such as grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, summary writing, essay writing, oral English, sentence structure, punctuation, spelling, idiomatic expressions, and effective communication.

Candidates are expected to demonstrate the ability to read carefully, understand written passages, express ideas clearly, use correct grammar, organise answers properly, and apply standard English language rules in both objective and written responses.

This is a practice examination developed for preparation and revision purposes. It is not an official examination paper issued by the West African Examinations Council.
