The AWS Certified AI Practitioner (AIF-C01) practice examination is designed to assess candidates' overall knowledge of AI, machine learning (ML), and generative AI technologies and associated AWS services and tools, independent of a specific job role. The examination covers important areas such as Fundamentals of AI and ML , Fundamentals of Generative AI , Applications of Foundation Models , Guidelines for Responsible AI , and Security, Compliance, and Governance for AI Solutions . Candidates are expected to demonstrate accurate recall of AI/ML terminology, sound judgement in identifying appropriate AI/ML or generative AI technologies for a given business scenario, and a working understanding of responsible, secure, and well-governed AI practices on AWS. Coding, data/feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning, and building AI/ML pipelines are explicitly out of scope for this exam. The AWS Certified Developer – Associate (DVA-C02) practice examination is designed to assess candidates' proficiency in developing, testing, deploying, and debugging AWS Cloud-based applications, using AWS service APIs, the AWS CLI, and SDKs. The examination covers important areas such as Development with AWS Services , Security , Deployment , and Troubleshooting and Optimization . Candidates are expected to demonstrate accurate application of AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, and other core development-related services, sound judgement in selecting appropriate application patterns and CI/CD deployment strategies, and a working understanding of securing application code and diagnosing application issues in production. Unlike the fundamentals-level exams, this exam assumes hands-on development experience; architecture design, IAM administration, server administration, and CI/CD pipeline design are explicitly out of scope.
